KHARTOUM, May 15, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Ambassador to Sudan Osama Shaltout embarked on a two-day visit to South Kordofan with the aim of boosting brotherly relations between both sides in various fields. In a statement to MENA on Tuesday, Shaltout said that the visit comes upon an invitation from an international organisation concerned with care for women in conflict zones. The visit aims to promote the strong ties binding peoples of the Nile Valley, in addition to activating bilateral cooperation in various domains including investment, agriculture, mining, health, education and activities of civil society organisations, Shaltout added. Shaltout pointed out that he will visit, accompanied by the second secretary at the embassy, several sites in the South Kordofan capital, Kadugli, noting that the tour will include premises of the investment and mining commission, ministries of health and agriculture and the tourist village. The Egyptian delegation will hold several meetings with officials at the aforementioned institutions for talks on developing joint cooperation and boosting Egypt-Sudan ties, he added.
