CAIRO, July 12 ,2018 (MENA) - Several Roman and Byzantine rooms were unearthed in Mit Abu Kom area in Menufia Governorate in the northern part of the country in the Nile Delta. In statements on Thursday, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Moustafa Waziri said the walls of the Romanian rooms consist of large stone blocks with precise right angles. He added that a huge amount of coins was found and one of the rooms contained a Romanian-style glazed marble pillar. The Byzantine-style rooms had uneven stone blocks with varied sizes, he also said.
