CAIRO, July 10, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla said proceeding with programmes for developing newly-discovered gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea will gradually up Egypt's natural gas output by mid 2019. During a meeting organised by the British Egyptian Business Association, Mulla said his ministry works on developing four gas fields namely: Zohr, Atoll, Nooros and North Alexandria. He noted that the ministry's success to down dues for foreign partners to its lowest level since 2010 has sent a positive message to investors. He also referred to launching seismic survey projects in the Red Sea, Upper Egypt, Badr City, western Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Suez. He noted that this has contributed to attracting international investments to these areas, especially in the field of oil exploration. He asserted that the national project for turning Egypt into a regional hub for oil and natural gas trade is one of the ministry's ambitious goals.
