Egypt Red Cross sends urgent medical aid to Gaza

CAIRO, May 15, 2018 - The Egyptian Red Crescent Society (ERCS) on Tuesday sent an urgent medical aid to Gaza Strip through the Rafah Border Crossing. The move comes within the framework of Egypt's support to the Palestinians so that they can deal with the tragic incidents in the occupied Palestinian territories.
A number of ERCS trucks and volunteers passed through the border crossing with medical aid that included antibiotics, analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-burns, and drugs for respiratory problems and heart attacks, in addition to medical supplies for hospitals.
This is the first ERCS convoy of aid, which will be followed by similar medical consignments to Gaza.
