CAIRO, May 14, 2018 (MENA) - House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal underlined on Monday the importance of the newly-drafted cybercrime bill, saying it is necessary to regulate the infrastructure of information systems. The Anti-Cyber and Information Technology Crimes Law was debated by the government and the specialised parliamentary committee and a societal dialogue was held over it, he said at a session devoted to review the bill. Information mechanism in any country relies on regulating the infrastructure of information systems, protecting personal data of citizens and ensuring free access to information, he said. During the bill debates, the opinions of many relevant bodies, including the National Council for Human Rights, were considered, Abdel Aal said.
