CAIRO, May 8, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Immigration Minister Nabila Makram said Tuesday that a new initiative would be launched during the fasting month of Ramadan to allow expats to contribute to free iftar menus across Egypt. Themed "Egyptians abroad ... Iftar with our Families", the initiative was announced following Makram's telephone conversation with Naser Fouad, the deputy lord lieutenant of Cheshire County in Britain, who suggested that a group of Egyptians in the UK contribute to the iftar menus. This would reflect their patriotic role towards their homeland, Makram said in a statement.
