ROME, April 26, 2018 - The UN World Food Programme (WFP) members welcomed a US$454 million strategic plan to be implemented in Egypt during the period 2018-2023, in order to achieve UN sustainable development goals (SDGs), Egypt's ambassador in Italy, Hesham Badr, told MENA on Thursday. President Sisi said that the development of the public school food programme is not only essential for food sustainably, but also for curbing school drop-outs. The ambassador said, during the WFP's meeting, that the Egyptian government was supporting the poorest people by offering both finance and food.
