CAIRO, April 25, 2018 (MENA) - Firefighters managed to control fire that erupted in a warehouse in the ground floor of a five-storey building in Cairo's El Marg district, said an official at the Interior Ministry's media centre. In a statement on Wednesday, the official said that civil defence forces and a group of sappers rushed to the site of the fire. The fire was caused by a leakage of the toxic refrigerant gas "freon" used in old refrigerators that were in the warehouse, the official said, adding that the gas also led to a gas explosion. The building owner and 11 persons sustained burn injuries. They were moved to a nearby hospital.
