DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia, April 15, 2018 (MENA) - The 29th Arab Summit has started here Tuesday at King Abdel Aziz International Cultural Center Ethraa with the participation of Arab leaders, heads of state, kings and emirs. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi leads the Egyptian delegation to the summit. The summit's agenda includes 18 articles referred to it by the Arab foreign minsters at the end of their preparatory meetings chaired by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Jubair covering Arab files and issues in the political, economic and social fields. The agenda includes the Palestinian cause, the Arab-Israeli conflict and the Israeli violations in occupied East Jerusalem. The agenda covers Iran's occupation of the three UAE islands and its interference in the internal affairs of the Arab states, Turkey's violation of Iraq's sovereignty, combating terror and developing the Arab anti-terrorism system. The first session is an open one including speeches by the Arab leaders and is followed by a closed one during which the agenda and the draft declaration will be ratified. Following the opening session, an official luncheon will be hosted by King Salman Bin Abdel Aziz in honor of the leaders and heads of delegations. A second closed session will be held and finally a closing session will take place. The Saudi foreign minister and Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit will hold a joint press conference at the end of the summit.
