EU envoy here praises contribution to clear Alamain of WWII remnants

Cairo, March 1, 201 - The Ambassador of the European Union in Cairo, Ivan Surkos, commented on Thursday on the New Alamain City development project, which was inaugurated by Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi earlier in the day.

Mr Surkos tweeted expressing honour for the European Union's contribution to the project for clearing Marsa Matrouh and Alamain, north west Egypt, of mines and explosive remnants of World War II, saying that such project helped develop the area.
