TBK Developments partners with global experts to create next-generation urban hubs in Cairo
Published in Daily News Egypt on 03 - 08 - 2025

TBK Developments, the real estate development arm of Tabarak Holding Group, has announced strategic design partnerships with two internationally acclaimed firms specialising in sustainable architecture and urban planning. These collaborations aim to deliver two landmark mixed-use projects in East and West Cairo, underscoring TBK Developments' commitment to redefining modern urban living through innovation, integration, and human-centric design.
In East Cairo, TBK Developments is partnering with RECS Architects, the renowned Italian firm celebrated for its expertise in smart city planning and community-focused design. RECS Architects will lead the master planning of the Heliopolis project, which spans 240,000 sqm. This ambitious development is envisioned as a contemporary urban model that blends modern aesthetics with local cultural identity, contributing to the revitalisation of one of Cairo's most historic and dynamic districts.
Meanwhile, in West Cairo, TBK Developments is collaborating with HHCP Design Innovations, a leading U.S.-based architectural firm with over 60 years of international experience. HHCP will oversee the design of the Sphinx City project, an expansive development covering 800 feddans, poised to become a prominent new destination on Cairo's western edge.
These partnerships reflect TBK Developments' strategy to deliver forward-looking urban destinations that meet both residential and investment needs, while reinforcing Egypt's position as a regional hub for sustainable, integrated urban development.
Ali Al Shorbany, Chairperson of Tabarak Holding Group and TBK Developments, commented: "These global partnerships reflect our mission to exchange expertise and create urban solutions that strengthen Egypt's position on the regional and global development map—especially in light of the country's strategic urban expansion in East and West Cairo."
Bassem Al Shorbany, Vice President of Tabarak Holding Group and TBK Developments, commented: "These collaborations mark a pivotal milestone in our journey to deliver urban models that realise the full potential of smart, future-ready communities."
The Heliopolis project will offer a diverse mix of units to accommodate modern lifestyles, including residential apartments, administrative spaces, and medical facilities, all designed to foster a vibrant urban environment. In contrast, the Sphinx City project will feature a wide range of villa types and premium hotel apartments, complemented by clubhouses, schools, medical centres, and recreational areas—creating an integrated destination that blends living, leisure, and investment.
Through these landmark projects, TBK Developments aims to set new standards in Egypt's real estate sector by prioritising sustainable design, community integration, and international best practices.
