Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty on Tuesday outlined the principles of his country's foreign policy and its position on regional crises to a group of students from leading British universities. During the meeting, Abdelatty detailed Egypt's stance on current regional developments, including the situations in Gaza, Libya, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon and the Red Sea, as well as the issue of Egypt's water security. He outlined the geopolitical challenges confronting the nation and highlighted Egypt's commitment to strategic equilibrium as a cornerstone of its foreign policy. Abdelatty emphasised that all of Egypt's actions in the region are aimed at bolstering security and stability, and at achieving peace, prosperity and development for all its peoples. The meeting featured an interactive dialogue between the minister and the students, in which Abdelatty listened to their ideas and perspectives on regional developments. He affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' commitment to maintaining open channels of communication with youth and university students, noting that such engagement is vital for raising awareness of Egypt's active role on both regional and international stages. The students came from universities including the London School of Economics and Political Science, the University of Oxford, King's College London, and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
