Agriculture Minister invites business leaders to explore investment opportunities
Published in Daily News Egypt on 19 - 03 - 2025

Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, reaffirmed Egypt's strong political commitment to strengthening ties with African nations, in line with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi's directives. Speaking at the annual celebration of the Egyptian African Businessmen's Association (EABA), Farouk addressed a distinguished audience, including Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy, EABA President Yousry El-Sharkawy, ambassadors, international and regional development partners, and representatives from 40 African countries alongside key business and investment figures.
Farouk emphasized Egypt's potential to play a leading role in advancing agricultural cooperation across Africa and promoting sustainable development. He encouraged Egyptian and African business leaders to explore the sector's promising investment opportunities and establish strategic partnerships that contribute to the continent's economic growth. He also expressed appreciation for the EABA's efforts in fostering closer ties between Egypt and Africa, describing it as a vital national platform that bridges the gap between governments and the private sector.
Yousry El-Sharkawy, President of EABA, highlighted the strong ministerial and governmental presence at the event, saying it reflects Egypt's leadership vision and commitment to deeper collaboration between African and Egyptian private sectors. He noted the Association's achievements in strengthening African business ties and outlined its ambitious roadmap, which includes organizing trade exhibitions, business forums, and cultural exchange initiatives to enhance economic cooperation and facilitate cross-border partnerships.
