Hamas denies reports of halting truce talks after Al-Mawasi massacre

An Israeli bombing at the Abu Oreiban school in the Nuseirat camp, central Gaza Strip, resulted in the death of 13 people and left dozens injured on Sunday. The school was affiliated with the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), according to Palestinian media.
Izzat Al-Rishq, a leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), refuted the claim made by the French news agency and circulated by some media outlets that Hamas decided to halt negotiations in response to the Israeli bombardment the previous day at the Al-Mawasi displacement camp of Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
Al-Rishq added in a press statement: "This Nazi escalation against our people by Netanyahu and his Nazi government, one of its goals is to block the way to reaching an agreement that stops the aggression against our people, which has become clear to everyone."
In the same context, sources participating in mediation efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper on Sunday that a new round of indirect negotiations will be held this week in Doha between Hamas and the Israeli occupation.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Sunday that during the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed 4 massacres against civilians in the Strip, leaving 141 dead and 400 injured. Thus, the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 38,584 dead and 88,881 injured since 7 October 2023.
The Israeli occupation army admitted that 10 soldiers were injured during the past 24 hours, including three in battles.
The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said that it had monitored the infiltration of an Israeli special force hidden inside an aid truck into the project area east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, adding: "When it entered a house, our fighters directly clashed with its members from zero distance with Light shells and individual shells, and they were all killed or wounded."
Furthermore, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, also said that it bombed with mortar shells the concentration points of Israeli occupation soldiers in the Al-Abd Jabr, Al-Ta'ma and Burj Al-Assi areas, southwest of the Yabna camp in the city of Rafah. The Al-Quds Brigades added that they bombed with mortar shells the occupation soldiers and vehicles at the Rafah crossing gate and its surroundings.
Moreover, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement, said that it "shelled with a barrage of mortar shells the Zionist enemy forces in the Al-Taqaddum axis (Natsarim), east of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip." Earlier on Sunday, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades published video clips targeting the occupation forces with mortars in the east of the central governorate.
