The Engineering Export Council of Egypt (EEC) has announced that 16 Egyptian companies in the household appliances and kitchen utensils sector are participating in the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), which started on Sunday and will run until 19 October 2023, in China.
According to May Helmy, the Executive Director of EEC, the Canton Fair is a great opportunity for engineering companies to learn about the latest technological advancements and to network with global participants in the exhibition, which is one of the largest and most specialised events in the engineering sector.
Helmy stressed that the Egyptian export market requires a constant presence in international exhibitions to demonstrate the potential and quality of the Egyptian engineering industry and products, which have improved significantly over the past years, thanks to the efforts of Egyptian factories to upgrade their production and to keep up with global trends and competition.
Helmy also noted that China is one of the most important international markets that attract attention during the period of organising specialised exhibitions, as it draws visitors from all over the world, which makes this exhibition a favourable opportunity for Egyptian companies to maximise their benefits and to hold meetings with potential partners and customers.
She revealed that the home appliances sector that is participating in the Canton Fair in China achieved growth in its exports by 5.2% during the period from January to August 2023, which confirms that it is one of the most promising and vital sectors that can contribute to the continuous growth of engineering exports.
