Egypt's Environment Minister visits Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve
Visit comes amid National Dialogue on Climate Change in Sharm El-Sheikh

Egypt's Minister of Environment, Yasmine Fouad, visited the Ras Mohamed Nature Reserve in South Sinai to follow up on the environmental status and the activities of the eco-tourism sector while preserving the safety of visitors and environmental systems.
The visit came on the sidelines of the Ministry of Environment's celebration of the launch of the National Dialogue on Climate Change in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Yasmine stressed the importance of the Ras Mohammed Reserve for global eco-tourism, as it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, in addition to the unique cultural and heritage nature of the region, which distinguishes it and preserves the local population in the region as an essential and indispensable part of the development paths implemented by the ministry.
She further noted that stressing that together we can protect biological diversity from the effects of climate change, as Egypt will host the Cop 27 Climate Conference at the end of this year in Sharm El Sheikh.
The tour included a visit to the mangrove area, the visitor center and the various areas of the reserve, as well as an explanation of the importance of the mangrove area as a witness to climatic changes.
Moreover, Yasmine met with a number of visitors to the reserve, tourists and media professionals who praised the reserve's precautionary measures and the system followed in addition to the unique nature of the reserve.
Ras Mohammed Reserve is distinguished by its unique diversity, which depicts migratory birds, clear beaches, in addition to wild and marine creatures and species of rare plants, which makes it a unique model of the picturesque nature in which rare species of trees and living creatures are found.
