Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry instructed the Egyptian Ambassador in Kiev to take the necessary measures to provide required medical care to an Egyptian citizen who was injured in the Russia-Ukraine war. Mohammed Saad Zayed was shot amid the ongoing military clashes between Ukrainian and Russian forces in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkov. Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad, Salah Abdel Sadek, received on Sunday the family of the citizen, where he assured them of his health condition and said that the embassy in Kyiv was giving him the required care. Shoukry also directed the Embassy in Kyiv to continue its 24-hour efforts to provide the necessary support to all Egyptian citizens residing in Ukraine. He also called for continued close coordination with Egyptian embassies in Ukraine's neighbouring countries, which already have entry for many Egyptian citizens across the border. Furthermore, the ministry reaffirmed the utmost importance of the protection of Egyptian citizens abroad within the framework of its policy of providing the necessary support and care to Egyptian citizens both at home and abroad.
