Tahya Misr Fund provides food, blankets to 1,000 families in Qena
This comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, according to the fund's executive director.

Executive Director of the Tahya Misr Fund, Tamer Abdel Fattah, said that the fund sent a convoy on Wednesday with 12 tonnes of dry foodstuffs and 2,000 blankets for about 1,000 in-need families residing in the villages of Hegazah, Qus, and Al-Eliqat in Qena.
Abdel Fattah added in a statement that two convoys were also sent to Assiut and Siwa Oasis in the beginning of the week as part of the activities implemented by the fund to protect families from the waves of bad weather that governorates have been exposed to this winter.
This comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, according to the executive director.
He explained that social protection convoys are organised in partnership with a number of banks and private sector companies and in coordination with the fund's partners from civil society institutions, pointing out that the Qena convoy was organised in cooperation with Banque Misr and Ahl Al-Rashad Foundation.
Furthermore, Abdel Fattah noted that these successful partnerships have had a positive impact on the diversity of the tools the fund has at its disposal to care for in-need families, adding that during the past year, the fund cooperated with 41 civil society institutions as well as more than 100 companies, the Federation of Egyptian Banks, and nearly 5,000 volunteers.
In recent years, the Tahya Misr Fund managed — through social protection convoys — to achieve six records in charitable work in the Guinness Book of World Records by sending out the two largest humanitarian aid convoys in the world during 2020 and 2021.
The six records are: The largest food donation convoy for 2020 (300,000 cartons); the largest convoy of poultry donations for the year 2020 (2000 tons); the largest operation of a humanitarian aid convoy for the year 2020, consisting of 480 trucks; the largest convoy of food supplies for the year 2021 (one million cartons); the largest convoy containing donated household appliances to prepare orphans for marriage for the year 2021 (4,500 devices); and the largest convoy for donated medical devices for the year 2021 (6,298 medical devices).
