Weddings mean music and dance floors, especially in Egypt, and Hassan Shakosh and Amr Diab shook dance floors in 2021, becoming the most-streamed artists appearing on wedding-themed playlists in Egypt, according to Spotify.
This year saw a host of celebrities and public figures tie the knot, celebrating their love by playing their favourite songs at their weddings, including Passant Shawky and Mohamed Farrag; Nelly Karim and Hisham Ashour; Hany Adel and Diaman Abou Aboud; and Dina Dash and Mahmoud Osman.
The most played tracks on wedding playlists were "Fe Hetta Tanya" by Mahmoud El Esseily and "Khatwa" by Moustafa Hagag.
And when it comes to the most-streamed Spotify wedding playlist in Egypt, "Faraha" by Mahmoud El Esseily was the most popular song, making it a go-to destination for keeping the romantic spirit alive.
Globally, Ed Sheeran seized the top spot as the most-streamed artist appearing on wedding-themed playlists. As for the most popular tracks, "Marry You" by Bruno Mars was the most popular song that appeared on wedding playlists, followed by "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)" by Whitney Houston.
According to Spotify, the top five most-streamed artists that appear on wedding playlists on Spotify in Egypt were, Hassan Shakosh, Amr Diab, Mahmoud El Esseily, Hakim, and Omar Kamal.
While the top five most-streamed songs that appear on wedding playlists in Egypt on Spotify were, "Fe Hetta Tanya" by Mahmoud El Esseily; "Khatwa" by Moustafa Hagag; "Mahragan Ekhwaty" by El Sawareekh, Shehta Karika, and Zoka; "Ya Nas" by Mahmoud El Esseily, and "Salka" by Hassan Shakosh and Wegz
