Ahl Masr, InnLife, Sigma Fit partner to produce anti-bacterial nanotechnology protective suits
Protective suit, designed for use in fight against coronavirus, can be washed 40 times and sterilised 60 times

The Ahl Masr Foundation has signed a cooperation protocol with InnLife and Sigma Fit to produce a line of protective suits using anti-bacterial nanotechnology. The suits will be provided to frontline workers in the battle against the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The protective suits will be made as part of the Ahl Masr Foundation's "The People of Egypt have Responsibility" initiative. The partnership will establish a special production line for the protective suits using the nanotechnology, which is 30% lighter than the standard suits currently in use.
InnLife, which specialises in medical sector technology investments, initially developed the idea for manufacturing these suits. It assigned the task of creating the suits to Sigma Fit, which specialises in smart nanotechnology sportswear.
The suits provided by the partnership will allow doctors to use them multiple times, and can be washed 40 times and sterilised 60 times. Considering that there has been a worldwide shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) the reusable suits would create less pressure on supply.
"In light of the follow-up and management of the coronavirus crisis and its impact on large sectors of the country, especially the medical sector, the company was able to reach a product with special specifications as a solution," Said Saber Hilal, CEO of InnLife.
InnLife Chairperson, Mohamed Alaa Radwan, said the company is sticking to its creative strategy, using technology to solve problems. InnLife will also work with local industry to supply the treated preventive supplies that will be used in the suits, including hydrophobic molecules and the nanotechnology supplies.
Radwan added that the company is also producing masks that can be used up to 50 times, whilst maintaining an 80% protection rate. Manufacturing protective coatings for the medical sector's use in quarantines, hospitals and clinics, can also be used for all commercial and industrial work activities.
