Egypt is keen on developing collaboration among African countries: Amr Nassar
Published in Daily News Egypt on 23 - 11 - 2019

Egypt is keen on boosting its cooperation with other African countries to achieve sustainable development in the continent, Minister of Trade and Industry, Amr Nassar, said during his participation in the 2019 Africa Investment Forum organised under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Saturday
During a session entitled, "stimulating investments for industrial transformation in Africa", the minister said, "Boosting collaboration among African countries will positively reflect on developing African economies, and will play an important role in achieving economic and social equality in the continent."
The Ministry of Trade and Industry organised a workshop at the New Administrative Capital recently to discuss ways of boosting industrialisation in the African countries as a first step toward the industrial integration among African countries, which is a key pillar of the 2063 vision.
Egypt has much potential and industrial capabilities that can make it a leader in Africa to begin implementing new industrial and investment partnerships and to make full use of the continent's human and natural resources, the minister mentioned.
Developing technical and vocational training is a priority for the African countries to take their industry to the next level, the minister asserted.
A well-educated labour force is necessary to develop African economies, the minister added, noting that unifying the specifications is important to guarantee the high quality of production.
"I think that Africa has to continue improving its infrastructure, services, and logistics with the aim of facilitating the regional trade exchange among Africa countries," Nassar said, calling on the African countries, the private sector, and international financial institutions to support this goal.
Introducing new partnerships will encourage more foreign direct investments into Africa, create new job opportunities, achieve sustainable growth, and make the dream of a unified and strong Africa come true, the minister concluded.
