490 development projects implemented in Egypt in Q1 2018/19

The Ministry of Planning, Monitoring, and Administrative Reform announced that 490 development projects were implemented in the state's different sectors during the first quarter (Q1) of the fiscal year (FY) 2018/19, according to the ministry's monthly report.
Hala Al-Saeed, the minister of planning, stated that the report revealed all the implemented projects for all sectors, showing the objectives and the total cost for each one.
Notably, the report provides a detailed overview for 490 development projects implemented during the first three months of the current FY, at a total cost of EGP 27.2bn.
According to the report, 38 projects were implemented in the local development sector at a total cost of EGP 217.5m.
The ministry also published a series of infographics on projects that were implemented in the local development sector during Q1 of FY 2018/19, including the total cost of each project and its objectives, in addition to
each project's start and end date.
These projects include the construction of the new administrative building of Beni Suef governorate on the Nile corniche, which began in September 2014 and completed in October 2018, costing EGP 125m, to raise the efficiency of the government's performance and develop the services provided to citizens.
They also included the Somosta Traffic Unit's wall project, which began in January 2017 and ended in September 2018 in Beni Suef, at a total cost of about EGP 2.05m, to enhance the efficiency of governmental services, and provide security and safety for the buildings inside the wall.
In addition, the project of supplying streetlighting equipment to Wasta town, which began in August 2018 and ended in September 2018, at a total cost of EGP1.115m.
The projects also included the construction of the administrative building in Al-Ghazlan district in Bir El-Abed, North Sinai, which started in October 2017 and ended in July 2018, at a cost of EGP 1.871m, in order to facilitate the administrative services offered to citizens.
