Vodafone Egypt revenues reached EGP 5.3bn in Q2 2018
Vodafone customers in Egypt consumed 68,200 TB of internet

The financial results of Vodafone International show that revenues of the company's unit in Egypt grew by 16.7% in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal year (FY) 2018/2019, driven by high data usage, compared to Q4 FY 2017/2018, when the company achieved a growth of 18.7%.
According to the results, Vodafone Egypt achieved revenues of €249m in Q1 of Vodafone's FY, which is the second quarter of the 2018 calendar year. The revenues equal EGP 5.3bn at an exchange rate of EGP 21.21.
Vodafone Egypt's revenues have grown at an average rate of 9.2% compared to Q1 FY 2017/2018, in which the company realised revenues of €228m.
Vodafone International has generated revenues of around €1bn in Q1 FY 2018/2019, down by 1.5% from Q4 FY 2017/2018, in which the company realised revenues of €11.7bn.
Vodafone's FY begins in April and ends on 31 March of every year.
According to Vodafone, the number of customers across all markets amounted to 274.8 million, including 41.4 million in Egypt.
Post-paid clients account for 29.7% of all clients, while in Egypt the post-paid service subscribers account for 8.3%. The number of ADSL customers at Vodafone Egypt amounts to 446,000 clients, from 5.6 million total ADSL subscribers in Egypt.
During Q1 FY 2018/2019, Vodafone Egypt users have consumed some 68,200 TB of internet.
Business results of Vodafone show that the average return of the company's customers in Egypt during the period from April to June is at EGP 38, while post-paid per-client revenue amounted to EGP 99.8 and EGP 33.3 for prepaid clients.
