An Egyptian private company, Giza Misr, in cooperation with China's Sino-Hydro Company, agreed to build a power line, Safaga, with a length of 105 kilometers and 220kV.
Chairperson of Giza Misr Rabab Fayed said that the company decided to invest EGP 450m in the construction of 220kV in West Sharouk transformations and in the connecting line of electricity from the station to the Badr transformer station with a length of 22 kilometers and 220kV.
She said that there is great interest from private companies, both Egyptian and foreign, that work in the field of distributing, setting up networks, and high and medium pressure lines to invest in the Egyptian market.
Rabab added that the agricultural sector is receiving great attention from the workers in the electricity companies to provide all its needs to facilitate the start of its projects in accordance with the plan announced by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to reclaim 1.5 million acres.
In another context, Giza Misr will sign two contracts to implement 30km from the connecting lines with 22km to connect two private companies' farms owned by agricultural investors in eastern Al Owainat with the national network.
The value of the two contracts is worth about EGP 80m, pointing out that the implementation schedule will be in two phases according to the size of expansions within the two projects.
She explained that the agricultural sector is receiving great attention from the workers in the electricity companies to provide all its needs to facilitate the start of its projects in accordance with the plan announced by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to reclaim 1.5 m acres.
Fayed praised the recent achievements in the Egyptian electricity sector.
Fayed added that the implementation rate of West Sharouk project of 22/220kV for the construction of the transformer station in full has reached 40%.
She pointed out that things are going well and precede the planned timetable and implementation plans, stressing that the project is expected to be delivered by next January.
In another context, Giza Misr, in partnership with the Chinese company state grid, has obtained a contract for the implementation of a linking line of 2km from the huge 500kV 6 October- Abu el Matamer connecting line, according to Fayed.
