Unused assets committee to decide on lands soon: Alexandria governor
Alexandria's administrative authority seeks to exploit all unused assets to stimulate investment in the governorate

Mohamed Sultan, governor of Alexandria, said that the province has addressed the ministerial committee for unused state assets inventory to decide on reoffering lands in Stanley and quota lands in the Azarita neighbourhood for investors as soon as possible.
Sultan told Daily News Egypt on Saturday that the province is interested in the implementation of a number of investment and service projects, especially in the transport and sanitation sector.
He added that the governorate seeks to exploit all unused state assets to stimulate investment.
The ministerial committee for unused state assets inventory held a meeting last week, chaired by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, to discuss the situation of some projects sent to the committee.
The cabinet said, in a statement, that the ministerial committee has completed the inventory and classification of assets, and Ismail urged the committee to quickly finish updating the database of unused assets. The final inventory will be presented to Ismail during the next meeting of the committee.
Ismail prevented any state authority from making any decision in regard to the unused assets, and assigned the ministerial committee for unused state assets inventory to settle these cases.
The Alexandria's administrative authority has formed a committee to re-evaluate the lands in the Stanley and Azarita neighbourhoods, in preparation to offer them for investors, before addressing the ministerial committee.
The governorate has developed a plan for the exploitation of the quota land, located on the sea Cornish, on an area of 1,800sqm. The plan includes the establishment of an international hotel, similar to the old Lighthouse of Alexandria, with investments of EGP 700m.
