USAID and EU finance the implementation of the project, says Moustafa

Rebat Systems carried out a feasibility study of the establishment of solar power plants at five water and sanitation stations in the Sinai province.
Ahmed Moustafa, CEO of Rebat Systems, said that the solar power projects will be financed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the European Union (EU). He added that the company has held meetings with the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) for consultation over the implementation of the projects, while they are working on preparing technical and financial studies of the projects.
Moustafa pointed out that the company intends to establish three other solar power plants in Upper Egypt, but only after they finish the feasibility studies associated with the water and sanitation stations in Sinai.
He said that the proposed model of the plants includes the production of electricity from solar power during the day and using it to operate the water plants and export the surplus power to the national grid.
Rebat provides solar PV power systems using new technology in the residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural fields. The company also offers providing the PV system remotely via phone, messages, and mobile applications.
Moustafa noted that the company recently launched a solar power plant with a capacity of 500 kilowatts in 10th of Ramadan City, on an area of 4,000 square metres. This land is owned by KC Energy Company, the main developer of the project. The produced capacities will be linked to the medium voltage utility distribution network within days.
The KC Energy alliance was qualified for the establishment of new energy and renewable projects in accordance with the feed-in tariff adopted by the Egyptian cabinet. 136 Egyptian and international companies will implement solar and wind plants, with a total capacity of 4,300MW, including 2,300MW produced from solar power plants and 2,000MW from wind farms.
