Parliament's Constitutional and Legislation Affairs Committee to issue decision on Al-Sadat's dismissal on 26 February
The MP faces several accusations and was subject to interrogation over the past week

The parliamentary Constitutional and Legislation Affairs Committee said on Sunday that it will issue its decision regarding the dismissal of member of parliament (MP) Mohamed Anwar Al-Sadat from the parliament on 26 February, state-owned media Al-Ahram reported.
Over the past week, Al-Sadat has been subject to interrogation by the parliament's disciplinary committee over two accusations: one by Minister of Solidarity Ghada Waly, accusing him of leaking a copy of the NGOs law to foreign embassies and organisations before it was officially issued by the parliament, and two by several MPs that Al-Sadat forged their signature on an NGO-draft law proposal.
Al-Sadat also found himself accused by MPs of distorting the image of the parliament before foreign entities.
This comes as MP Bahaa Abu Shoqa, head of the Constitutional and Legislation Affairs Committee said that it was important to listen to Al-Sadat's defence claims to know the truth, given his reputable career in parliamentary work, state-media reported.
The parliament's administrative bureau—composed of the parliament speaker and his two deputies—had referred to the disciplinary committee a recommendation to have Al-Sadat's membership dropped.
For his part, Al-Sadat issued several statements on Sunday defending himself and denying the claims.
