Joseph FahimIn a meeting with the press Wednesday, French actor and singer Charles Aznavour said renting halls to perform in around the world helped introduce him to international audiences and gained him recognition, particularly after the success of his 1960 film "Tirez Sur le Pianiste" (Shoot the Piano Player). Aznavour performed at the ceremony marking the opening of the Cairo International Film Festival at the Mohamed Ali Palace last Tuesday./p
