Ahly invited to face Roma

CAIRO: Ahly have been invited to play a friendly against Italian side Roma next month, club s football committee member Hadi Khashaba said on Sunday.
We have an offer to face Roma on Aug. 6, Khashaba told FilGoal.com.
We are yet to accept it because we are waiting to learn the date of our CAF Champions League encounter against ASEC Mimosas.
The club is also waiting to know when it will play the Egyptian League opener.
The Cairo giants take on Ivorian side ASEC on the first week of August. The exact date is yet to be determined.
The Egyptian champions will start their title defense against newly-promoted Olympic few days later.
Ahly played against Roma in a friendly in the summer of 2002. The Cairo giants won 2-1 at Cairo stadium.
