The second International Trade Fair for Stone Design, Technology, Earthmoving, and Building Machinery (MS Marmomacc Samoter Africa and Middle East) will take place in Cairo, from 2 to 5 November 2015.
The fair will take place at the Cairo Conventions International Center (CCIC) under the auspice of four Egyptian ministries; Environment, Housing, International Cooperation, and Foreign Trade and Industry.
A total of 90 exhibitors will attend the exhibition, 35 of which are international exhibitors from 12 countries; Benin, China, Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Italy, Morocco, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the US.
Over 100 buyers from 29 countries, mostly from Africa and the Middle East, will also attend the exhibition.
It will host representatives of several Middle Eastern and African associations such as the Chamber of Commerce of Addis Ababa of Ethiopia, Jordan's stone and Tile Association, ANECA Benin, and Union of Stone of Palestine.
The fair will also welcome two delegations from Ethiopia and Angola, including institutions and associations officials. The delegations will present to exhibitors the opportunities of doing business in the construction sector in their respective countries.
Several workshops, seminars, and conferences will take place at the exhibition, involving both domestic and international construction stakeholders.
The construction market in Africa and the Middle East witnessed significant growth over the past two years. In Egypt, the sector witnessed a 5.5% growth in 2015, participating with $26m in GDP with the implementation of 20 mega projects worth $4bn.
This growth indicates the continuous and increased demand for all that is new in material and construction techniques presented by contractors and construction companies.
