By Mostafa Salem Families of detained of Muslim Brotherhood members as well as of the ex-presidential team demanded their release in a press conference Wednesday afternoon at the headquarters of the lawyers syndicate. They accused the authorities of excluding their party "completely through arrests and abductions," in the press conference titled the Disappearance of the presidential team, which was led by Aisha Essam El-Haddad, a member of the bar association. She said nine political figures were abducted after the "military coup, and no one knows where they are being held." She said: "we hold the bloody military coup responsible for their disappearance and harm," and urged the protesters to "stay strong... do not succumb to provocation." Sara Attia, the wife of Morsi's secretary for external affairs Khaled El-Azzaz, said the presidential team members endured forced detainment, and that accusation without legal basis is a disgrace. She called their detainment "kidnapping in the line of duty." The daughter of Ameen El-Serafy, assistant-manager of the presidential office, explained that the detained were subjected to "deliberate defamation, while they authorities do not allow us to visit them." A number of other speakers highlighted the names of the detained: Refaa El-Tahtawy, Asaad El-Sheikh, Ahmad Abdel Atty, Ayman Hodhod. Abdel Meguid El-Mashar and Essam Soltan.
