Alex Bank-Intesa San Paolo recently oversaw the March Entrepreneurs Festival, hosted by the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB) at the KEY Career Development Centre office, in cooperation with community service and environmental development organisations from colleges and universities. The festival provided participants with the opportunity to network with successful businessmen, learn the details of business administration, in addition to taking part in a number of workshops and open forums hosted for the purpose of cultivating and refining entrepreneurial skills. The event also sought to educate young people in how best to launch a small business through a series of economic and social workshops. The conference hosted a number of prominent businessmen and young entrepreneurs, such as Rania Azb, founder of the PR4 Public Relations firm, Hisham Heiba, president of the Board of Directors of Orbis Investment & Capital, and Mahmud Khateb, Managing Director of B Tech, who gave speeches on the challenges facing businessmen in today's market. Basil Rahmi, president of the Retail Banking Sector and Small and Mid-Level Projects office of the Alex Bank-Intesa San Paolo, said that the bank was “keen on overseeing all aspects of the festival in order to provide our nation's youth with the required knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them for Egypt's marketplace, specifically in the small business sector, whose development will help solidify and strengthen the country's economy as a whole". The festival ended with the Alex Bank-Intesa San Paolo choosing two projects proposed by students from each participating university to receive cash prizes.
