CAIRO: The April 6 Movement has denied a report published by Youm El-Sabei newspaper on Sunday claiming that security forces have announced that the movement is planning to break into prisons and spread chaos on Friday, July 8. The movement's leader Ahmed Maher said in a statement Sunday that they refuse the use of any form of violence, pointing out that they are a peaceful movement and have never resorted to violence through their entire opposition to the Mubarak regime or during the revolution. He noted further that members of the April 6 Youth Movement defended the premises of the Ministry of Interior on Tuesday, June 28 when protesters wanted to break in or were throwing stones. Maher added that publishing this "fabricated" report is just a way to intimidate people and discourage them from participating in next Friday's protest. Activists are calling for a massive rally on July 8 to "save the revolution." The activists calling for the July 8 protest are urging Egyptians to look at the broader picture under the slogan: "I haven't felt the change, I'm going back to Tahrir Square."
