At least 12 dead in Indonesia boat incident

JAKARTA: The death toll from a boat accident on an Indonesian river rose to 12, with another 12 missing, an official said Friday.
The motor boat was carrying more than 60 timber company workers when it sank Wednesday on the Mahakam River in East Kalimantan province.
Some 41 people were reportedly rescued, local disaster management chief Wahyu Widhi said.
