LAGOS: Airtel Nigeria will be showcasing the data and internet services on its newly upgraded 3.75G network at this year's edition of the West African Information and Communication Technology congress which is billed to hold in Lagos this May. The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Airtel Nigeria, Rajan Swaroop, revealed the excitement of the company to partner with WAFICT. He added that it would use the forum would be a platform to exhibit some of its latest value propositions in its data/Internet products segment. In his commendation to the organizers of WAFICT, he said “Indeed, WAFICT is a leading ICT congress just as Airtel is a product leader and trail blazer in all the market it operates”. Organizers of WAFICT 2012 Congress explained that the event would introduce new technologies, open new horizons and provide greater insights for the tiers of government to benefit from new trends in technology. WAFICT 2012 will also provide a platform to hear from governments and regulators in West Africa on their broadband policies and strategies for deployment. The year's congress is expected to be a convergence of equipment manufacturers, mobile operators, telecoms operators, Internet Service Providers, experts, and many more, from across the world.
