A man held in Guantanamo Bay's infamous American jail on terrorism charges has finally been charged in the bombing of an Indonesian jail in 2003. Majid Shoukat Khan is being charged with financing the bombing of the JW Marriott hotel in Jakarta in August of that year, the United States Defense Department announced on Wednesday. The bombing, carried out by militants linked to al-Qaeda, killed 11 people and wounded nearly 100 others in a blast that wrecked the hotel and grabbed headlines worldwide. Khan, a native of Pakistan, is also charged with attempting to assassinate former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, as well as conspiracy, murder, and providing material support to terrorism. He will be tried by military commission. BM ShortURL: http://goo.gl/t8SfY Tags: Bombing, Charge, Guantanamo, Jakarta Section: East Asia, Latest News
