Almost all the BCS bowl spots are sealed up after the SEC, ACC, Big10, Big12 and Pac12 all crowned their champions this past weekend. There was also bedlam in Oklahoma that could translate into bedlam in the BCS. Here's the round up. Wisconsin is the BigTen champion. New Orleans was partying hard last night after LSU overcame a slow start to demolish Georgia in the SEC Championship by a final score of 42-10. The Bulldogs turned it on early by jumping out to a 10-0 lead but they could have been up by more if they had capitalized on earlier scoring opportunities. Then as he has done all season, Tyrann “the Honey Badger” Mathieu sparked the Tigers with a 62 yard punt return for a touchdown to bring the Tigers to within three. The rout was on from there. LSU reeled off 35 straight points after the punt return. LSU running back Kenny Hilliard added 3 touchdowns that buried the Bulldogs for good. Key Performers: RB K. In the latest installment of the Bedlam Series the Cowboys shot down the Sooners 44-10 and may have made a case for their inclusion in the BCS National Championship game in the process. It was all OK State from the opening whistle. Running back Joseph Randle added two first half scores along with a Jeremy Smith touchdown scamper which gave Oklahoma State a 24-3 lead going into the half. The Cowboys knew they had to play well and score a ton of points to make their case to voters to be included in the title game. The Cowboys did not let up in the second half. Jeremy Smith added a 37 yard TD run and the Oklahoma State Cowboys will now wait to see if they have done enough to get the in the big game. Key Performers: RB J. The Badgers came in as favorites even though they had already lost to the Spartans thanks to a hail mary to win the game in the dying seconds of the first matchup. Wisconsin looked strong early with Montee Ball carrying a lot of the workload. Ball, who came into Saturday's game 2nd in NCAA history for most TDs in a season with 34 behind Barry Sanders' 39, carried the Badgers to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter. The momentum quickly shifted back to the Spartans after BJ Cunningham caught two TDs and Le'Veon Bell added a six-yard run to give Michigan State a 29-21 lead going into the break. In the 2nd half the teams exchanged scores but a costly error by MSU on a punt gave the ball back to the Badgers. With 1:38 left to play, after Ball had just put the Badgers up 42-39 with his 4th score of the game, MSU defender Isaiah Lewis was called for running into the kicker while going into block the punt. From there the Badgers were able to run out the clock and begin celebrating their rosy trip to Pasadena. Key Performers: RB M. Ball WISC 27 carries 137 yards 3 TDs 3 catches 7 yds. 1 TD QB R.
