The top team in all the land, LSU, sealed its perfect regular season; Alabama beat up on an old friend, and Wisconsin made history. Here's the round up: Arkansas was the latest SEC foe to try to knock off LSU but the Tigers would not be dethroned who won going away 42-14. The Razorbacks went up 14-0 midway through the second quarter after a Tyler Smith touchdown pass and an Alonzo Highsmith fumble return. The Tigers started an onslaught of scoring when they were sparked by defensive back Tyrann Mathieu. Mathieu returned a punt 92 yards for a score and the rout was on from there. LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson hit Russell Shepard for a 9 yard score and added a 48-yard touchdown run. LSU will face Georgia in the SEC title game next weekend Key Performers: QB J. This year's Iron Bowl featured the last two national champions but only one team looked like a contender after Saturday's game. Bama looked convincing throughout and built up a 24-7 lead going into the break. Richardson gashed the Auburn defense with 27 carries and the Tigers could not keep up with the constant pressure of the Tide defensive front. Auburn looked like it might have had something left after an Onterio McCalebb 83 yard kickoff return for a touchdown pulled Auburn within ten. Alabama's defense responded with a Dee Milliner 35 yard interception return for a touchdown that all but sealed the victory for Alabama. Key Performers: RB T. The Badgers were led by their star running back Montee Ball who racked up a few more touchdowns to inch him closer to Barry Sanders' NCAA record of 39 touchdowns in a season. Ball rushed for four scores which moved him into second with 34. Penn State looked like it would put up a fight early when quarterback Matthew McGloin hit Curtis Drake for a 44 yard score. Unfortunately for Penn State that would be the last time they saw the end zone the whole night. Wisconsin blazed out to a 28-7 lead at half thanks to two first half scores from Ball, and touchdown catches from Jared Abbrederis and Nick Toon. In the second half it was more of the same with Ball adding another two to his tally which capped off his 156-yard performance. Key Performers: RB M. Ball WISC 25 carries 156 yards 4 TDs QB R.
