CAIRO: The European Investment Bank (EIB) delegation announced its continuous support for Egyptian electricity projects planned in the bilateral cooperation program during this critical time in the wake of the January 25 Revolution with investments worth 610 million Euros. Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Energy Hassan Younis conferred with a mission of the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the bank's activities in the electricity sector during the coming stage. He said that the bank is financing solar and wind operated power projects in Egypt at total investment costs of 610 million Euros. The mission said it will continue supporting the electricity sector projects stipulated in a bilateral cooperation program. The mission also voiced its wish to help Egypt in this critical stage. The EIB is one of the most important bodies that fund energy projects in Egypt, said Younis during his meeting with the mission. BM
