Egypt's Ministry of Interior and National Security announced on Sunday that it has reopened the Rafah Crossing after being closed for one day. The ministry said that it will only allow Palestinians who were not able to enter Egypt yesterday, to travel to Egypt, adding that the reopening allowed hundreds of Palestinians in Egypt to return to Gaza. Egypt had closed the crossing yesterday due to the rising tension and worsening security conditions in Sinai, as the Egyptian army started a military operation in northern Sinai against armed groups, killing and injuring a number of the armed men.Earlier today, Egyptian fighter jets have been roaming over Rafah south Gaza for the third time in the past few weeks. Gaza radio stations said that these jets are a part of the Egyptian army's operations against the armed groups, who reached the Egyptian side of Rafah.
