EGX 30 Ends At 5890 Pts, Citadel Capital 5.60% Up; Tuesday

During Tuesday closing session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has turned its early losses to gains of EGP 326 million as the capital market has amounted to EGP 406.326 billion.
The main index, EGX30 tumbled by 0.08% to end at 5890.8 p. EGX20 inched higher by 0.25% to close at 6944.41 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 fell by 0.48% to conclude at 569 pts. Price index EGX100 dropped by 0.43% to finish at 935.09 p.
Traded volume reached 302.428 million securities worth EGP 1.180 billion, exchanged through 50.565 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 182 listed securities; 95 declined 81 advanced while 6 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 84.61% and 7.15% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 23.263 million and EGP 8.981 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners went on profit-taking process as they were net sellers seizing 8.23% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 32.245 million excluding the deals.
Leading Shares:
EGX's leading shares witnessed unsteady performance.
Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding:
Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA)'s stock maintained Monday's levels at EGP 0.58.
Citadel Capital:
Citadel Capital (CCAP.CA) climbed by 4.15% to end at EGP 4.15.
Orascom Telecom Holding:
Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) surged by 1.85% to close at EGP 3.86.
This was after the Group announced Tuesday its financial results posting a net profit of EGP 919 million during the first half of 2012, 81% down from a year earlier net profit of EGP 4.816 billion.
Talaat Moustafa Group:
Talaat Moustafa Group (TMGH.CA) soared by 1.11% to conclude at EGP 5.46.
EFG-Hermes:
EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) sank by 3.62% to end at EGP 12.50.
Orascom Construction Industries:
Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) dropped by 1.04% to close at EGP 296.64.
Commercial International Bank:
Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) (COMI.CA) went down by 0.38% to finish at EGP 34.41.
