Egypt has increased the number of towers in New Alamein City project from 15 to 18 towers, said New Alamein City Authority's head Osama Abdel Ghany on Tuesday.
"We are studying executing four other towers, at lengths of 33 floors in New Alamein," Abdel Ghany further added.
Mohamed El Alfy, Egyptian City Edge Developments' chairman, announced that his company will start delivering the units of North Edge Towers in New Alamein within a two-year timeframe.
City Edge Developments is set to launch five towers of North Edge Towers flagship, its chief executive Amr El Kady said, adding that his company seeks to sell the first tower within this year.
North Edge Towers project in New Alamein City
Last March, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi inaugurated New Alamein city on a space of 48,000 feddans, at a cost worth two billion Egyptian pounds ($111,7 million).
New Alamein is one of the fourth generation cities being built in Egypt in some of the most up-to-date architectural styles, and is scheduled to be finalised in one-year timeframe.
The city is planned to have universities and schools as well as various services and tourist activities. It is expected to accommodate 400,000 populations.
