Alex Bank: Deposits Rose To EGP 31.5 Bln At Mid 2012

Alex Bank- Intesa Sanpaolo said the value of deposits surged by EGP 200 million, registering EGP 31.5 billion at the end of the first half of the current year, up from EGP 31.3 billion at the end of last March.
The increase in the volume of deposits came as individual deposits rose to seize EGP 25.4 billion of the total value of deposits, thanks to the bank's unique savings accounts, sources said.
The bank's loans portfolio stood at EGP 20.62 billion at the end of the first half, up from EGP 19.4 billion at the end of March, sources added.
Retail loans accounted for EGP 9 billion of the total value of the loans portfolio. Alex Bank injected about EGP 620 million in the retail loans portfolio since the beginning of the current year.
