Avaya eyes Egypt as a strategic market in the Middle East region
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 27 - 02 - 2012

Avaya has identified Egypt as a key, strategic market within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, as the country's public and private sector undergo reforms, including investment in technology and infrastructure.
From a new office located in New Cairo, Avaya's Egypt operations are working with channel partners to meet the collaboration and communication needs of companies of all sizes in Egypt, from government ministries to small and medium-sized businesses.
With a direct presence in Egypt for over10 years, Avaya anticipates that collaboration solutions will be a critical business enabler in 2012. Companies and governments have staff and offices in multiple locations, necessitating a communications and collaboration strategy which enables decision-makers to have the right information at the right time, in the appropriate context. In recent years, Egypt has also become a hub for contact centers, and an increasing number of organizations, from banks to telecoms providers, are working with Avaya to deploy contact centers which significantly improve customer service.
Working closely with partners, Avaya currently delivers networking, communications and collaboration solutions to a diversity of customers in Egypt across the public and private sectors. In April, Avaya will showcase its latest innovations at Cairo ICT, including Avaya FlareTM mobile collaboration solutions for the Apple iPad, and for Egypt's growing number of small and medium-sized businesses.
Nidal Abou Latif –Vice President of Avaya Emerging Markets- said that “While Egypt is undergoing tremendous change as a market, this period of transition creates an unprecedented opportunity for all organizations – from an emerging start up to a government ministry – to put in place the collaborative, communications, and networking foundations that deliver more streamlined, cost-effective and future-proof working environment. More than ever in Egypt, social platforms like Facebook and Twitter are forcing new dynamics on how businesses should interact with next generations, and Avaya is delivering today collaborative and customer service solutions with social media at the core".
