Ten states seize 56.6pct of Egypt's chemical exports in five months

Around 10 states seized 56.6 percent of Egypt's total exports of chemical and fertilizers products during January-May 2016 with exports totaling 5.8 billion Egyptian pounds (US$653 million).
The latest report released by Chemical Export Council (CEC)on Wednesday showed that Turkey was the largest importer of Egyptian chemical products with imports worth 1.8 billion pounds, getting 31 percent of the total volume.
Following Turkey, France was the second largest importer of Egyptian chemicals and fertilizers during the first five months of 2016 with imports estimated at 715.14 million, acquiring 12 percent of the total volume.
The third largest importer of Egyptian chemical exports was Italy that captured 11 percent of the total volume with imports estimated at around 655.5 million pounds.
The report stated that Saudi Arabia imported Egyptian chemical products estimated at 563.6 million pounds, getting 10 percent of the total volume.
