Real Estate Investments In Sheikh Zayed Hit LE 4 Bln: City Chairman
Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 16 - 11 - 2014

Investment in Sheikh Zayed, a city of 240,000 inhabitants in 6th of October City, amounts to EGP 4bn, said Gamal Talaat, chairman of the city.
The city held a real estate investment exhibition on Saturday for the first time on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its founding, and a new branch of the Al-Ahly Club will be established next month, Talaat said. A technology centre was also opened on Saturday as part of the celebrations.
"The basic goal of the technology centre that was established is to satisfy citizens by providing services through the Sheikh Zayed gateway on the Internet," said Chairman of the Government Services Development Programme at the Ministry of Administrative Development Ahmed Kamal.
"The Urban Communities Authority's budget has been expanded for the 2014/2015 fiscal year so that all plans may be implemented and completed" said Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly.
Eight technology centres were opened, and work on similar centres is underway in four other cities out of a planned 22, according to Minister of Planning Ashraf El-Araby.
He said that cooperation is taking place between the planning and communications ministries in order to connect the technology centres.
Citizens besieged Madbouly with various complaints during the Sheikh Zayed 20th anniversary ceremony, due to a "lack of services" in the city.
Some residents from the area of Ebny Beitak have requested an intervention so that certain facilities may be completed in light of repeated complaints to solve the issue.
One of the residents of the second phase of Abnaa El-Giza project has demanded that the minister intervene to bring facilities to the area, as they have been living for nine years without them.
