Telecom Ministry Calls Cabinet to Implement Maadi Park with PPP by Nov

The Egyptian Telecom Ministry is planning to address the Cabinet in order to begin offering Cairo Contact park in Maadi zone throughout public private partnerships (PPP) within the coming month.
Eng. Mohamed AbdelWahab, Chairman at Cairo Contact Centers Park in Maadi, said the board of directors has finalized all the required measures of the project, pointing out that it has obtained the approval of participation between the two sectors of the Finance Ministry, in addition waiting to offer the project on the Cabinet so as to start pumping investments by the private sector.
AbdelWahab has asserted that the zone is representing Eng. Atef Helmy, Egyptian Telecom Minister will hold a meeting with the Cabinet in order to take new phases for offering the project with the two sectors during the current month after obtaining PPP approval of the Finance Ministry.
The initial study by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Financial consultants at Ernst young ,technical consultant, WSP, and legal consultant, TOWERS HAMLINS.
It is worth mentioning that the Cairo Contact investments in Maadi zone established by the Prime Minister's decision in March 2008, on an area of 75 feddan.
The Egypt's Post has 5 technological buildings in this main phase with investments up EGP300million, as it will provide around 5000 direct job opportunities and 12 K indirect job opportunities.
It is schedule to implement investment phases and to establish 27 new buildings to make the number of buildings reach 38.
