Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly met on Tuesday with Javier La Rosa, President of Base Assets and Emerging Countries (BAEC) at Chevron, to discuss expanding the company's investments in Egypt's oil and gas sectors. The meeting was attended by Egypt's Petroleum Minister Karim Badawy and several company officials. During the meeting, Madbouly reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting foreign investors through timely payments and attractive incentives. He also expressed interest in learning Chevron's vision for deepening cooperation with Egypt. Badawy highlighted the company's key role in meeting domestic gas demand and said the government hopes to move the partnership into a new phase, including increased investment in exploration and natural gas projects. La Rosa outlined Chevron's plans to expand investments in Egypt over the next two years and discussed regional collaboration with partners such as Cyprus in the natural gas sector. Both sides emphasised the potential for a trilateral partnership to help secure regional gas supplies.
