Natural gas production at Egypt's giant Zohr field has returned to normal levels after the government resumed repayments to foreign partners, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Tuesday. Speaking at a roundtable with newspaper and online editors, Madbouly said arrears had previously weighed on output but regular payments were now reviving both production and exploration. He noted that while gas fields naturally face output declines over time, Egypt expects to restore peak production from its fields within two to three years. Madbouly added that gas prices are under review as part of a broader economic framework. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: Y.Yasser
