Egypt's Petroleum Minister Karim Badawy met Eni Chief Executive Claudio Descalzi in Milan on Thursday to review the Italian energy group's operations in Egypt and discuss regional cooperation, the ministry said. Talks focused on Eni's exploration and production projects in Egypt, including the giant Zohr gas field and concessions in the Mediterranean, according to the statement. Badawy praised the company's longstanding role as one of Egypt's largest energy investors. The two sides also discussed plans to accelerate the project linking Cyprus's Cronos gas field to Egypt's infrastructure, part of broader regional energy integration. Badawy invited Descalzi to attend the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) in Cairo in 2026. Attribution: Amwal Al Ghad English Subediting: Y.Yasser
